Student Societies

Student societies are a great way to explore your interests or develop new ones. UCD has over 100 active student societies so there is something for everyone, from jazz and comedy to law and international students.

The Students’ Union

All UCD students are automatically members of UCD Students’ Union. The Students’ Union (SU) represents students’ views and opinions and works on a number of university committees including the Governing Authority as the voice of the student population.

Accommodation

As a first-year student you may need help to find a place to live when you arrive at UCD. There are a number of different types of accommodation available:

• On-campus UCD accommodation
• Off-campus family (digs) accommodation
• Off-campus privately rented accommodation

IT Services

Studying, not to mention socialising at UCD is aided by the wealth of technology available on campus. Look out for wireless hotspots, pc labs and for those in a hurry, Stand Up And Surf facilities. UCD Connect is available 24/7 and offers you access to email, timetables, library services and more whether you are on or off campus. Computing questions?
